Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Kampala.

Meet and assist upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Metropole Hotel or Similar for on overnight therein.

Day 2: Kampala – Lake Mburo N.P.

At 0600hrs, meet and assist at your residence in Kampala & Entebbe. Get on board and undergo your safari briefing. Get on board and join your driver/guide to start journeying heading westwards. The initial stop will be at The Equator Point for photo-opportunity and a water demonstration that vividly shows the wonders of being in the center of the planet. Proceed along Masaka – Mbarara highway and access L. Mburo N.P. Nshara gate. Break for lunch at Rwakobo Rock Lodge.

Later in the afternoon, take a boat-cruise on the calm waters of L. Mburo as you spend your afternoon watching bird species like the African finfoot, Green Backed Heron, Roufus Bellied Heron, Black Crowned Night Heron, Giant Kingfisher and Africa Fish Eagle among others. The boat takes approximately 90 minutes after which, you will return to Land and embark on a sundown game-drive. L. Mburo National Park is famous for Elands (Africa’s Largest Antelopes), Burchell’s Zebras and Impalas (the only park with Impalas in Uganda). Other antelope species include topi, bushbuck, sitatunga, common duiker, klipspringer, oribi, Defassa waterbuck and Bohor reedbuck. Retire from the day at Rwakobo Rock.

Day 3: Lake Mburo N.P – Bwindi Forest N.P.

As the dawn breaks, listen to the whispers of the wild and wake up to welcome the new day in the wilderness. After a briefing, follow your allocated ranger-guide on an early morning Safari Walk. Here is a unique opportunity to see and experience wildlife on foot. Look-out for Topis, Bushbucks, Impalas and Zebras among others. Return to the Lodge, check-out and take an en-route game-drive as you exit the park via Sanga gate. Break lunch at Igongo Cultural Center, visit the Museum and learn about the culture and heritage of Western Uganda Communities. After lunch proceed with the journey and follow snaking routes of the popular Kigezi Highlands also known as “Switzerland of Africa”! As you access Bwindi Forest, savor the freshness of the forest-breeze and marvel at the hill scraping the clouds. Check-in at Silverback Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Day to Track Gorillas

As the day unveils the freshness and nature rhythms of the Bwindi Forest, wake-up, have an early breakfast, pack lunch and attend briefing by the head-ranger. Get hold of your walking-stick and rally behind your-allocated ranger-guide and follow the path of evolution as you track one of man’s closest relatives. Bwindi Forest is a unique and dramatic forest that supports abundant wildlife. The highlight above all the gentle-great apes. Follow rules and regulations as the guide leads the way to the gorilla sanctuary. Once you get to where the gorillas are, keep calm and watch them play, feed and swing from one branch to another. In the kingdom of the Mt. Gorillas, avoid camera flash, getting close to them and making noise. Maximum time allowed with them is strictly One Hour after which the ranger shall ask you to leave/begin your ascent and descent back to the base. Upon return, you will receive your tracking certificate. Return to Silverback Lodge or similar with the great memories of the time spent with the Mt. Gorillas.

Day 5: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth N.P.

A misty and chilly morning, wake-up to watch the sunrise as it squeezes through the clouds. Exploit your last moments in the dominion of the critically endangered mountain gorillas. After breakfast, bid farewell and join your driver-guide on a picturesque drive via Kihihi area to access the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park through Katookye gate. Embark on a game drive in the southern circuit in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. Picnic lunch, proceed with the journey through a scenic green belt with possible sights of Topis, Elephants and Olive Baboons among others. Check-in at Mweya Lodge or similar for the rest of the evening.

Day 6: Sunrise Game-drive – Kazinga Boat-Launch

Wake-up to the sounds of the nature, get on board and embark on a sunrise game-drive. The vast savannah plains, swamps and forests of Queen Elizabeth are home to about 95 mammals and over 600 bird-species. Look-out for lions, leopards, elephants, warthogs, bushbucks, cape buffaloes and waterbucks among others. We shall utilize a network of trails to access animal habitats and create more avenues for you to see and experience as much as nature shall make available.

After lunch, transfer to the pier/dock to arrive on time for your afternoon boat-ride on boat Kazinga Channel. A thread of water that joins lakes George and Edward, Kazinga Channel is lifeline/habitat to Nile Crocodiles, arguably the highest concentration of Hippos on planet Earth, different species of Egrets, Goliath Herons, and Saddle - billed Storks, African Fish Eagles, Egyptian Gees and Cormorants among other bird species. The channel is a source of for Elephants, buffaloes and many other bird-species. Return to the dock and exploit the remaining part of the day in the wild.

Day 7: Sunrise game-drive – Kibale Forest National Park – Bigodi Swamp Walk.

Watch the sunrise as rays beam over Queen Elizabeth N.P. plains, have an early breakfast and check-out. Join your driver/guide on an early morning game-drive as the final session to explore the diversity of wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Exit the park through Kabatooro gate and stop at the Equator by Kikorongo Road for a photo-opportunity. Continue and break for lunch at Fort Portal town (the only town with an English name). Break for lunch and then embark on an afternoon Bigodi Swamp Walk. The Swamp is a community-based tourism project which offers a platform for you to see more primates, swamps and forest birds. On your tour, you will likely see several kinds of monkeys including black and white colobus, red colobus, mangabey, red tail, vervet, and L’Hoest. Other wetlands mammals include baboons, sitatunga (an increasingly endangered swamp antelope), bush pigs, civet cats, mongooses, bush bucks and an occasional chimpanzee appearance. Dinner & overnight at Primate Lodge – Kibale.

Day 8: Full –Day Chimpanzee Habituation

This early morning, wake-up and have breakfast, attend briefing by the Ranger-guide and enter the sanctuary to embark on your full-day chimpanzee habituation experience. This is a special occasion to spend significant time with Chimpanzees, learning about their habitat, diet, social organization and behavior. In addition to a large community of chimpanzees, there are 13 other primate species, including red and black-and-white colobus monkeys, l’Hoest’s, red-tailed, vervet and blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons, as well as four species of nocturnal primates. The birdlife is prolific, with approximately 400 species recorded for the area. Highlights include the crested guineafowl, great blue turaco, grey parrot, green-breasted & African pitas, African crowned eagles and black bee-eaters. Primate Lodge for Dinner & overnight.

Day 9: Kibale Forest N.P. – Kabwoya Game-Reserve.

Forest breeze in Kibale Forest N.P, breakfast, check-out and embark on approximately 7hr drive from Kibale via Hoima to Kabwoya game reserve. Settle-in at Lake Albert Lodge and hot lunch shall be served. In the late afternoon/early evening take a game drive and look out for Cape Buffaloes, Uganda Kob, Oribi, Duiker, Black & White Colobus Monkeys, Olive Baboons and Warthogs among others. Nestle-in at Lake Albert Lodge for the rest of the evening.

Day 10: Kabwoya Game-Reserve – Murchison Falls National Park.

After an early breakfast, check-out and take a visit to the Kabwoya fishing village. You will be privileged to witness fish auctioning as buyers and sellers exercise bargaining skills. Proceed to Masindi town and access the park via Kichumbanyobo gate. Take a scenic ride under shades of green, cross the season Sambiya River to the Nile River, continue and cross by ferry to the North Bank and settle-in at Paraa Lodge. Later in the evening, take a sunset game-drive and end your day in an adventurous style. Superb comfort at Paraa Lodge.

Day 11: Sunrise Game-drive - Waterfall Boat - Hike to the Top of the Falls.

Rise up early and join your driver/guide on an early morning game-adventure. Lookout for Buffaloes, Giraffes Elephants, Warthogs, Jackson Hartebeests, Lions, Leopard and Hyenas among others. The vast plains of Murchison Falls N.P. are decorated by Borussas Palms that feed elephants which turn do the propagation. Return to your lodging, relax and take a hot lunch. At 1400hrs, transfer to the pier, attend briefing and embark on a boat-cruise on the serene Nile Waters to the Bottom of Murchison Falls. On the way, lookout for pirates of the Nile; Nile Crocodiles, Hippos, variety birds including the African Fish Eagle and other animals that quench their thirst on the waters of the Nile. The float finally reveals the immensely spectacular Murchison Falls as the gigantic spillage from a height of 44 metres lands and settles from the "Devil's Cauldron". This is a perfect moment to employ your lens and take images of the beautiful Murchison Falls. At this point, leave the boat and take an approximately 45 minute hike to the Top of Murchison Falls where you can bear witness to the wonders of the Falls. The Niles moves from being almost 80 meters wide to funnel through a 6 metre gorge creating a mayhem sound and wing of beautiful rainbow. A litany of expressions explain the beauty of the falls and this you can experience by own presence. Join your driver/guide at the Top of The Falls and transfer back to Paraa Lodge for the rest of the evening.

Day 12: Sunrise Game-drive – Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Wake-up to the rhythm of nature, have breakfast, check-out and cross by ferry to the north-bank. We shall employ a network of trails to access various wildlife habitats in the vast savannah wilderness. Special emphasis on the cats and rare ungulates. The birdlife is also rich with species like Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, Crested Cranes, Grey Herons, African Fish Eagles and Red Bishops among other bird species. A knowledgeable and informative guide shall share a wealth of knowledge about the park and its respective resident as well as migratory wild species. Exit the park via the north Wankwar/Tangi gates to view Karuma Falls, break for lunch en-route.

Proceed and track Southern White Rhinos at the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is a special occasion to track the extremely endangered White Rhino at ZZiwa. You will not only witness the most successful Rhino breeding project in the world but also contribute to their survival. Take a leisurely ride back to Kampala or drop-off at Entebbe for your evening flight back home.
